Data Deletion Guide

Account Erasure, Data Purge & Statutory Retention Protocols

Right to Erasure & Statutory Compliance: Learn how your data is purged within 30 days under India's Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act 2023, and what statutory tax records are legally retained under the GST and Income Tax Acts.

Option 1: Delete via App

You can delete your account directly from within the Brocoly mobile application at any time. Follow these steps:

1 Step 1: Open & Log In

Open the Brocoly app on your iOS or Android device and log into your account.

2 Step 2: Profile Settings

Go to Profile / Account Settings in the bottom navigation bar.

3 Step 3: Tap 'Delete Account'

Scroll down to Account Actions and select 'Delete Account'.

4 Step 4: Confirm Deletion

Confirm the deletion when prompted by entering your confirmation PIN.

info Immediate Effect: Your account will be deactivated immediately and permanently deleted within 30 days.

Option 2: Request via Email

If you cannot access the app, lost your device, or prefer email communication, send a deletion request directly to our privacy operations desk at support@brocoly.in.

  • Registered email address or phone number linked with Brocoly
  • Meal Provider name/code (if affiliated with a corporate kitchen)
  • Brief statement confirming request for complete account erasure

What Gets Deleted

Once confirmed, the following personal data categories are irreversibly erased across production databases and encrypted backups:

Full name, registered email address, and mobile phone number.

Delivery Addresses

Saved delivery locations, geo-coordinates, and building notes.

nutrition

Dietary Preferences

Dietary restrictions, allergy notes, calorie targets, and spice levels.

Subscriptions & Meals

Meal selections, recurring calendar schedules, and preferences.

Section 04 policy

What We Retain (Legal Requirement)

Certain limited financial records must be retained under applicable Indian statutory laws and cannot be immediately expunged.

Transaction & Invoicing Records

Order amounts and payment records retained for 7 years under GST Act and Income Tax Act (and Section 128 of the Companies Act).

Account access is disabled immediately. Active meal subscriptions are cancelled.
